PAOC Congratulates newest doctoral graduates Holly Dail and Diane Ivy.
On Thursday, Holly Dail (MIT/WHOI JP) defended her thesis "Atlantic Ocean Circulation at the Last Glacial Maximum: Inferences from data and models". You can find out more about Holly's work in the spotlight Cold and Windy with Lots of Ice. Holly plans to take a few weeks break, before she returns as a postdoc in the fall. Holly's advisor was Carl Wunsch.
Yesterday Diane Ivy defended her thesis "Trends and Inferred Emissions of Atmospheric High Molecular Weight Perfluorocarbons". Her advisor was Ron Prinn. Diane will shortly begin a postdoc with Susan Solomon exploring the impact of natural climate variability on the ability of models to provide useful predictions of climate behavior on regional or geographically specific scales.
PAOC congratulations to both!
